Use of the James 1:27 Trust website and any of its services implies acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions. Please read this page carefully.
About James 1:27 Trust and the online donations service
The James 1:27 Trust website has a payment portal that allows for national and international donations. It is the users responsibility to ensure that they select and donate according to options made available by the payment portal. The Trust cannot accept responsibility for any use which the recipient makes of the donations made through the James 1:27 Trust Online Donations Service.
Fees and transaction charges
The James 1:27 Trust does not charge any fee to sponsors who participate in the online donation service. The only fees applicable to donation transactions are those charged by the card issuers. Card issuers set their rates based upon the volume of transactions and revenue processed.
Unauthorised card use
When a donation is made the transaction is final and not disputable unless unauthorised use of your payment card is proved. If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card, or it is lost or stolen, you must notify your card provider in accordance with its reporting rules.
Password security
Sponsors who register to participate in the James 1:27 Trust Online Donations Service will be given the opportunity to access their own secure part of the site using a password. Sponsors are responsible for protecting the security of their password. Privacy Policy
James 1:27 Trust undertakes to ensure that all your personal information will remain subject to our stringent Privacy policy.
Security Policy
The James 1:27 Trust online donations service uses an advanced encryption technology a recognised authentication and encryption software. This means that the site encrypts all of your critical personal information sent and received, so that it is unreadable to anyone outside of the transaction process.
Credit card details are not stored by James 1:27 Trust on our servers. However, card details are stored in the page session memory, by our payment provider Bankserve for the purposes of processing your donation. Once the page is closed, the data is discarded. Information that is stored by James 1:27 Trust about individual donations is not made available to other organisations, such as community based partner organisations or companies without your express consent.
Limitation of Liability
In no circumstances will James 1:27 Trust be liable for any claims, costs or damages, whether direct or consequential, arising as a result of your use of the online donations service or your inability to do so, your reliance on any content and/or goods and services associated with the site or any breach of these terms and conditions.
Changes to these Terms and Conditions
James 1:27 Trust reserves the right to modify or replace these terms at any time. Any change shall be effective immediately it appears on the site. You will be deemed to have accepted these terms each time you use the service.
Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by South African Law.
